Team Riders Lodge took home 11 Ribbons and One Trophy Championship from Premier Cup 2009 Series I

Premier Cup Series I was held on the 18th 21st June 2009 at Putrajaya. Quite a popular equestrian event, it was first held in 1991 and was introduced to honour the birthday of Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s 4th Prime Minister, who is a great horse rider himself. Now, the Premier Cup Series is held at Taman Ekuestrian Putrajaya.

The Team Riders Lodge Malaysia arrived early at the show to make sure the horses were in good condition. Riders Lodge Malaysia brought 9 horses with 8 riders, our key instructor Catherine Tzinberg, Coach/Rider Alex Maurer and young riders Isabelle Stehle, Raja Alicia, Raja Amin, Jolene Lee, Joanne Lee and Keerthani Rajanderan. Riders Lodge Horse Team was made up of Vivaldi, Sir Philip, Lord Lester, Pease Be True, Super Conqueror, Mr. Boots, Super Force and Pip Squeak who was last substitute due to Kampong Boy going lame on poor Keerthani right on floating day.

Our guest rider Alex Maurer competed Sir Philip & PBT and did well with Class 31 Medium 101 – 5th placing on PBT, Class 36 Medieval Speed – 3rd placing on PBT and Class 41 Amateur Cup – 3rd Placing on Sir Philip. Sir Philip and Alex were privileged to receive their award from Tun Dr. Mahathir. Well done!

We could not have been prouder, the team looked beautiful in their jackets and rode their best - they were gracious in win and defeat. Congratulations!
