Chinese New Year also called Lunar New Year falls on Monday, January 26th 2009. It is celebrated for about fifteen days - in 2009, the Chinese Lunar Year Festival would start from 26th of January, Monday. The Chinese tradition is to take holidays to join the company of their dear ones and feast with their family members on the Lunar New Year's Eve. Even with the modern times and increasing mobility of people the celebration of Chinese New Year is still observed following the customs and traditions of their elders.

At Riders Lodge, we observe some of the traditional celebrations to welcome the Year of the Ox and wish for good health and prosperity.
