Fresh and misty Saturday morning - as early as 5:30, there was abuzz at the stables!

Catherine checked all the horses making sure they are still plaited prettily for the show. Myriam barely awake was at the warm up arena to give the riders much needed inspiration. Jay keeping all the riders’ cool was Chief Steward, Dressage Reader as well as coach. Riders from the 6 year olds to the more mature looked every bit like pros!

Sennett, Agnes and GM Kumar were on hand ready to start the much anticipated annual dressage and showjumping competition. National Judge Sgt. Major Razak and Judge Cheryl Hawkins judged over 90 entries over 1 ½ days. (Thank you for your encouragement!). Volunteer parent scribers Natalie and Debbie had their fair share of scribbling. Festivities started right on the button…8:00 am!

Dressage Preliminary 1.1: Dawn Wong (1st), Siva Prema (2nd), Tanja Kleidietert (3rd), Rachel Koh (4th), Isabelle Stehle (5th), Olivia Dubec (6th), Robyn Gollifer (7th), Niloofar (7th) and consolation medals to Aubrey Nicole Seto, Maggie Hurley and Rebecca Lanyon.
Dressage Novice 2.1: Audrey Loi (1st), Siva Prema Siva (2nd), Christine Foong (3rd), Olivia Dubec (4th), Tanja (5th), Charlotte Dubec (6th) and Dawn Wong (7th).
Showjumping (50-70cm): Cyril Loo (1st), Murugesh (2nd) and Prema (3rd).
Showjumping 30-50cm: Tanja (1st), Prema (2nd), Joanne Lee (3rd) and Charlotte (4th)

Sunday was another beautiful day in paradise – the sun shining brightly until the award giving. Then just to cool everything, there was heavy down pour complete with thunderstorm. The show ended just in time!

Power & Speed 50-70cm: Tanja Kleideitert (only clear, 1st), Cyril Loo (2nd), Chiaki (3rd), Muragesh (4th) and Iso (5th).

Thrills and Spills – there never is a show without some golden moments!
Jay, Catz and Myriam “Trio Riding Demo to Music”, stunning riders and stunning chestnuts - Crowe, Mars and Big Splendor.
Murugesh averaged one fall an event (warm up or the arena), there was a moment when he fell while walking to walk the course, take care, our future M.D.
Modesto kept the record for the longest time hanging on KGB’s neck (poor horse)
Dressage rider Christine was about to finish one of the best combinations in the Prelim 1.3 when PBT decided to show a couple of 20 m circles medium canters before trotting back to the halt – still finished in 2nd place with 64.2% (what could have been!!).
